Mrs. Rosey Fortenberry has been the Director of the Clear Lake Flairs Drill Team since the summer of 2007. She began her teaching career at Clear Lake High School in 1999 as a Dance Educator. She served as the Flairs Assistant Director from the fall semester of 2000 through spring 2007. In 2003, Mrs. Fortenberry organized and served as the initial Director of the Freshmen Flairs Drill Team. This team had the distinction of being the first Freshmen Drill Team in the Clear Creek School District. The Freshmen Flairs have become a very successful addition to the already outstanding Clear Lake Flairs continuing the Flair traditions of excellence and dedication. Before joining the CLHS staff in 1999, she worked as a Dance Instructor at both Dance World and Dance United. Mrs. Fortenberry graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in Kinesiology, with a minor in Dance. Prior to that, she attended Deer Park High School in Deer Park, Texas, where she served as an officer for the Deer Escorts Drill Team. Mrs. Fortenberry and her husband have two children, Tyler and Lane Alexander, who currently attend school in Pearland I.S.D.
Ms. Kim Brunner became Assistant Director of the Clear Lake Flairs Drill Team and Director of the Freshmen Flairs Drill Team during the summer of 2008. She served as the Freshmen Flairs Director during the school year of 2007-2008 while student teaching at Clear Lake High School. In addition, she is currently working for Showmakers of America Dance/Drill Company as a Dance Instructor, a position she has held since summer 2003. Ms. Brunner graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Dance. She was a Texas State Strutter for four years where she served as a Sophomore Lieutenant and two-year Captain. While affiliated with the Strutters, she served as a Goodwill Ambassador by traveling and performing in Mexico, Greece, Turkey, and Italy. She is a former Clear Lake High School student and member of the Flairs Drill Team including two years as an officer.
